Artist’s Statement

If  “artists are the antennae of the race”,  and as such we perceive with greater intensity that which surrounds us, it is not only our duty but also a compelling need to communicate these perceptions to the rest of the world.  This communication takes the form of plastic creations  in the mind of the visual artist and is then  translated into materials and objects that have as ingredients the basic elements of art:  shape, line, form, color, texture and space.

This “need” is the force that drives me to search for a medium that will “make physical”  that which has shape and meaning in my mind.  Objects take form first as the result of a thought, a feeling, a problem, and must then take “body” in some plastic way.
